Shoelace-tying Machine

Here's my entry for Illustration Friday's "Super Hero" topic.

Click here for the full-sized image.

James needed a super hero, and he needed one NOW.

This is a picture I drew of a shoelace-tying machine. I like the juxtaposition of how big and frightening it is compared to the simplicity of its task.

Inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (movie).

With no real emotion,
G. Caprice

UPDATE:

Okay, okay. It doesn't really fit the topic, so here's an extra picture. Sorry for the dodgy scan. I drew it on scrap paper, so you can see the text through it.

He's the Rodinator. I'm not exactly sure what his powers are, but I'm sure he's got some. Guesses welcome.

Dishes

Here's my submission for Illustration Friday's topic "80's". The picture was for an idea I had for a short film.

Click here for the full sized version.

Tom wasn't sure how many plates there were to wash, but the numbers must be in their 80's.

With happiness at updating my blog for the first time in a month-and-a-bit,
G. Caprice.
P.S.- I know this may sound a bit pedantic, but "80's" isn't grammatically correct. It should be "80s".

Octopus

This drawing was inspired by ... something. I forget what.

I was testing different methods of drawing reflections and continuing shapes and objects beneath water. In case you're wondering, the shapes are continued below the water in this one, not reflected.
